Makhana is the seed of a water lily, also called fox nut. Heated, the seeds pop into light, crisp puffs, a little like popcorn but from a seed rather than a grain. We roast the puffs in cold-pressed groundnut oil and season them. Our makhana is grown in India.
Mild and toasty on its own, with an airy crunch. That mild base is why it suits seasoning: salt, pepper, chilli, cheese or a little honey.
Every flavour comes in a 55 g pack at ₹179, GST included. Each pack is a box with a sealed pouch inside.
Cheddar & Herbs contains milk, and the two honey flavours contain honey. Makhana is a seed, not a cereal grain, but our packs are not tested or labelled gluten-free, and our facility also handles dairy, tree nuts and seeds. If you have an allergy or intolerance, please read the label on the pack.
No added sugar in Himalayan Pink Salt, Smoky Peri-Peri, Cheddar & Herbs and Cracked Black Pepper. Hot Honey & Chilli and Cardamom & Honey are sweetened with honey, which counts as added sugar. Each label gives the exact amount.
Cold-pressed groundnut (peanut) oil, in small quantities. Never palm oil, never hydrogenated fat, never fried. Because of the groundnut oil, every flavour carries a peanut allergen warning.
Yes. Every order is Cash on Delivery: pay the courier in cash or by UPI when the box arrives. Nothing is charged when you order. We started this way so nobody has to trust a new brand with card details before tasting the product.
We pack and dispatch within 24–48 hours of order confirmation. After dispatch, metro cities usually take 3–5 business days and the rest of India 4–7. Remote PIN codes can take longer, and tracking is shared once your order ships.
Your first order ships free, even a single pack. After that, shipping is free on orders of ₹499 or more, which any three packs reach; below that it is a flat ₹79, GST included. We deliver within India only for now. See the Shipping Policy.
You can cancel any time before dispatch. Unopened, sealed packs can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund, and one return is free: we pay the return postage. If something arrives damaged, wrong or missing, email us within 48 hours with unboxing photos and we send a replacement first. Refunds go by bank transfer or UPI within 7 business days of the return reaching us. See the Refund and Return Policy.
Keep it in a cool, dry place. Unopened, it keeps for six months. Once opened, fold the pouch closed or tip the makhana into an airtight jar, and finish it within 12 weeks for the best crunch.
Yes. Corporate and bulk orders start at 50 units, with GST invoices: see Corporate & bulk. We sell within India today; importers and distributors outside India can write to business@miaminuts.com, as export is planned.
