Himalayan pink salt makhana at a glance
Taste. The plain one, done properly: a toasted, slightly nutty base, a clean salt finish and nothing to mask it. A good first makhana if you have never tried one.
Ingredients. Makhana (fox nuts), cold-pressed groundnut oil, Himalayan pink salt. No added sugar, no palm oil, no flavour dust, no anti-caking agents.
How to enjoy it
Straight from the pack. In a bowl next to a drink. Over soup or salad instead of croutons. As a blank canvas: toss with your own spice and a squeeze of lime.
Storage and freshness
Each pack is a box with a sealed pouch inside, which keeps air and moisture out until you open it. Store in a cool, dry place. Unopened, it keeps for six months. Once opened, fold the pouch closed or tip it into an airtight jar and finish within 12 weeks for the best crunch.

Is it roasted or fried?
Roasted, never fried. We use a small quantity of cold-pressed groundnut oil while slow-roasting. No palm oil, no hydrogenated fat.
Does it have added sugar?
No. The three ingredients are makhana, cold-pressed groundnut oil and Himalayan pink salt. Nutrition per serving is on the pack label.
What grade of makhana is it?
Large pops, the 6-suta grade, sorted before roasting.
